“Yet a little while, and ye shall see me no more, …” – John 16:16 (in King James English)

This phrase credited to Jesus succinctly sums up the future of my association with what I call “conventional” Christianity. Simply put, the further I go along the road of assimilating and understanding the meaning of and the message within the Bible,…[Read more]

  • Perhaps (as the saying goes) it’s just me, but my response to such questions would in all likelihood “piggy-back” on that familiar admonition from the New Testament:

“According to your faith, so be it unto […]

  • Come to think about it, perhaps one could expand Descartes’ original statement to read: “I BELIEVE – therefore I Am.” since it could be argued that it is more than merely Thinking – it ultimately comes down to what the thinker BELIEVES. And such was also expressed (in different terminologies) by others. “The Law of Life is the [...]

New picture as my avatar – rather appropriate, I say.

  • I recall something I first encountered years ago, written by Napoleon Hill in his book: “THINK AND GROW RICH”, which, on first glance, might seem to “throw a damper” upon the average person’s endeavor to search for a miracle or breakthrough in whatever area of life: “In your search for the secret of the method – [...]

After 24 weeks of ”plugging” the collective wisdom of (Judge) Troward’s six major books in my mind, I’m taking a two-week ”mini” mental vacation. Of course, come the first week in July, I ”rinse and repeat”.

The issue of how or when anyone either already involved or perhaps aspiring to enter the self-development industry should balance ”profit against personal growth” could be a topic in itself.

Somebody will one day post it – either myself or another.

Could be, could be – perhaps the most obvious example in recent times is the proverbial avalanche of endeavors to capitalize on the interest stirred up over the Law of Attraction, in the wake of the movie: “The SECRET”.

Also, and if I recall it right, the “three-foot” gap referred to by Napoleon Hill was to emphasize that the seeker was that…[Read more]

I’ve recently come to a realization – simply put, in my humble opinion, there’s something out there that , to borrow Napoleon Hill’s own statement, the self-improvement industry is ”three feet away from”.

I daresay the next three to six months shall prove to be very interesting.

    • Sometimes, Wayne, the self-improvement industry is more interested in profit than in personal growth. That can make a more than three-foot difference!

        • HI, Wayne,
There is nothing wrong with profit, but as you point out, if the balance is not there it’s problematic. Right-sizing, as you might know, is a big thing with me. Having been in this industry for more than thirty years, I’ve seem prices escalate to the “Whatever the market will bear” approach, and more recently, into the “Get what…[Read more]

  • “I and the Father are One and we’ve got a great partnership going on.” I believe Troward described this arrangement in some of his later writings as: “GOD & Company Limited” – where Man (i.e., you or I) take on the role of “Company”. And the reader is reminded that this is not an idle [...]

  • “What do you have to give today? That’s the question I ask myself every morning. What do you have to give today?” In my experience to date, perhaps the best comprehensive answer to that question, which in itself reveals how anyone and everyone may set the creation of prosperity (or any other desired thing) in [...]

  • “Some folks tell us that we should be very clear in outlining what we want, how it should look and when we want it. That certainly appeals to our desire for a formula and our need for control.” My “Short” response comes from that most deeply occult of all books: “It shall be unto you, [...]

  • WAYNE commented on the blog post What About Prayer? July 12, 2010 3:10 AM

Over perhaps the last two to three months, I’ve been consciously re-defining my own personal viewpoint of the purpose of prayer. One of the most significant points which I have gathered to date along my own path of self-development is a recommendation made by Wallace Wattles in his book, “A New Christ”. Without directly quoting [...]

  • My personal answer to the question: “what do you or I have to DO in order to get what we WANT?” is that FIRST we must BECOME the person who can HAVE what we want, and then, having become that person, we then DO the thing or things necessary in order to ultimately HAVE what [...]

I’m well on the way to – in no uncertain terms – TAKING MY LIFE BACK. And the journey will be just as exciting and exhilarating as the arrival at the destination.

  • For my first comment, my short and “to-the-point” answer to the questions above, is: I DON’T “HAVE A SOUL”. I AM A SOUL. I AM NOT SO MUCH A “PART OF”, BUT RATHER ONE WITH THE ALL-ORIGINATING SPIRIT (that which Christianity often refers to as “GOD”).
